Hey, that doesn't happen often!

Some really unusual stuff happened this weekend. First, the SRU men's team won a game. That doesn't happen really all that often, if at all. That was only their second win of the season. Secondly, the women's won on Sunday too. That happens slightly more often. Thirdly, the men's and women's teams won on the same day, wowzers. And both of the games got on the Internet, which is truly a magnificent achievement considering that has been a big thorn in my side for the first few games of the season.

The link to the women's game. Navigate the site to find the men's game. Hopefully it will sound clear or something like that.

Hey, the Steelers won against the Jets in a glorious display of chokery by the NY Jets. Was I surprised? Not really. Now the Steelers take on those dreaded Patriots and right now for everyone that's interested, the last time I checked the Stillers were 3-point underdogs.

This kind of pains me to put in (OK, it doesn't, it's just funny.) I pasted Chase today in Madden, 55-9 with the Dolphins. He was the Steelers and I was the away team. That was the worst I ever beat him. But that's all good. He's now totally addicted to video games and the like and I think I got him hooked. He likes MVP Baseball and was grilling me as to how to make his own team. Fantastic stuff. WE played Need for Speed 2 today and got down with NBA Live as well. For the record, yes, sometimes me and the Chaser actually do schoolwork and study but since it's the first week or so of classes, there is slightly more time to enjoy what is known as the Playstation 2. It's so cool, I've even thought of writing an op-ed about it. And they will put it in because they will.

I'm about ready to head over to the office and explain to the incoming Life editor, Colin (some of you may know him as yellow-ribbon boy) how to run the enjoyment that is known as QuarkXPress. Quark is quite simply a program that is a giant pain in the butt, or as I like to say, hemroid. Quark shuts down on me frequently at times, especially on Thursday nights (Publication night) So Quark is high on my fun list of things I like to work with, right next to crayons and scissors. Other people will know what I'm talking about too, it took me a good five weeks to even have a clue as to how to get Quark to do the things I wanted it to. So, my hands are tired and it's time for me to head over and become the teacher I so never wanted to be.

Ah, I remember Quark. We used it on the copy desk. It was....a challenging learning experience. Lots of love for Quark, nothing but love for it (sarcasm)

Good luck with that. Hang in there!
