SRU men's basketball is winning games. The incredibleness is amazing. I just saw the Rock beat Clarion tonight, which makes me fairly giddy. Stupid Golden Eagles. I mean, seriously, have you seen a Golden Eagle before? That's what I thought. And if you answered yes to that question, I worry for you. Not really, it just sounds compassionate to say.
Chase and me are living in Rhoads next year barring some sort of collapse with the housing picking development. Thank you dorm life, one more year to go and then I'm blowing this popstand.
Speaking of pop (or soda if you're from the east side of PA) this will be something my mom will likely freak out about. A lot of the Rocket people are trying to quit pop. Now, most of them are females and I think they're trying to diet, but they're quitting pop for the most parts. Which really annoys the one that buys me Sheetz every week (and by buying I mean I give her money, she goes and places the order. Me and her have a system.) Anyway, the point of this lovely story is that me being the tremendous guy that I am, orders pop every time. Last week, I ordered a coke and she told me that it was hard for her to buy pop and then give it to me. But it's OK. Tomorrow, she'll do the same thing but maybe I'll be nice and order something that's not pop.
OK this won't surprise anybody. I'm a college student. And I'm poor. Those two phrase account for about 99& of all college students in this country. Thank you to the following: SGA Bookstore, Residence Life for taking $13o just so I can live here next year, and many many other things. Isn't college grand? Oh, and by the way, I think the aging process might be going Dick Clark on me because one of the people that I work with (And knows my brithday) told me she thought I was sophomore. One of my professors, however, thought I should be a senior. I guess it works both ways.

Hey, that doesn't happen often!
Some really unusual stuff happened this weekend. First, the SRU men's team won a game. That doesn't happen really all that often, if at all. That was only their second win of the season. Secondly, the women's won on Sunday too. That happens slightly more often. Thirdly, the men's and women's teams won on the same day, wowzers. And both of the games got on the Internet, which is truly a magnificent achievement considering that has been a big thorn in my side for the first few games of the season.

The link to the women's game. Navigate the site to find the men's game. Hopefully it will sound clear or something like that.
Hey, the Steelers won against the Jets in a glorious display of chokery by the NY Jets. Was I surprised? Not really. Now the Steelers take on those dreaded Patriots and right now for everyone that's interested, the last time I checked the Stillers were 3-point underdogs.
This kind of pains me to put in (OK, it doesn't, it's just funny.) I pasted Chase today in Madden, 55-9 with the Dolphins. He was the Steelers and I was the away team. That was the worst I ever beat him. But that's all good. He's now totally addicted to video games and the like and I think I got him hooked. He likes MVP Baseball and was grilling me as to how to make his own team. Fantastic stuff. WE played Need for Speed 2 today and got down with NBA Live as well. For the record, yes, sometimes me and the Chaser actually do schoolwork and study but since it's the first week or so of classes, there is slightly more time to enjoy what is known as the Playstation 2. It's so cool, I've even thought of writing an op-ed about it. And they will put it in because they will.
I'm about ready to head over to the office and explain to the incoming Life editor, Colin (some of you may know him as yellow-ribbon boy) how to run the enjoyment that is known as QuarkXPress. Quark is quite simply a program that is a giant pain in the butt, or as I like to say, hemroid. Quark shuts down on me frequently at times, especially on Thursday nights (Publication night) So Quark is high on my fun list of things I like to work with, right next to crayons and scissors. Other people will know what I'm talking about too, it took me a good five weeks to even have a clue as to how to get Quark to do the things I wanted it to. So, my hands are tired and it's time for me to head over and become the teacher I so never wanted to be.

Hoops and football
Right now, I'm producing the spectularness that is now as the SRU men's and women's basketball teams. So far it's the wo,en and the men will be comin up soon for a loss. The Steelers are playin soon as well and that should be an enjoyable time.
Last night, I really didn't do too much. Except have a fire drill at 3 in the afternoon. When Chase was supposed to have an important phone interview with a prospective interview. He had to go outside on his cell phone while he was wearing shorts. That was fun for him.
The paper came out late yesterday thank to the loveliness knwon as the Trib delivering the papers late. Good for them. I'll enjoy the Steeler game.

What a week
Well, I've finally gotten through the first tough week of classes, almost. Friday is pretty much a piece of cake. Only 2 classes but the first is at 10 am so that will be a toughie for the obvious reasons. Last night I went down to the black hole that is known as CalU, and saw both the men and women's team take one on the chin losing by more than 15 points on both occasions. Not too cool. Somehow we managed to get the internet someone on the air, but MSA sports was up at the station today giving me the techincal mumbo-jumbo that I don't exactly understand all that well. This weekend it will be home games for me so that is a relief for the most part. Traveling is not too fun. Next Wednesday is the trip to Edinboro, barring snow. The keyword there is barring snow.
I talked to Chase about living arrangements for next year and it looks like we might be living in Rhoads Hall which is down by the Fluh. The reason? To be closer to his girlfriend.
My sister called me at school today, and the Rocket members kept making fun of me for it. They were all asking who it was, and most of them thought I was talking to some sort of secret girlfriend. (By the way, no gf) So I had to handle the Rocketteers while having a sane conversation with a human being at the same time. Kind of a tough task.
We picked out a new program director today, and Kaleena won. I was happy. I got to run the election and count the votes which was something I had never done before, kind of a cool thing. So it's on to Friday and a little bit of relaxation and eventually a lot of sleep for Saturday and the weekend ahead.

So you've played over 10 games, and you still have no wins?
Wow, this just came to my thought. The SRU men's hoop team is having some issues. Like the one that says the team is 0-11 right now. Ouch. Well, that's something I can look forward to. Seeing the team win a game. That' s all I got.

It's about time
OK, I finally decided to write in here. Christmas and New Year's have gone and life gets back to somewhat normal. I'm enjoying my last week of anti-SRUness before going back and I finally got better from the sickness that was the flu of the week before Christmas. Speaking of which, I got lots of clothes and some other cool goodies for the holiday.
Why did I write in here today? Well, today is my 21st birthday. Mom is not taking me aging all that well, considering I think she wants me to be like 12 again, I think. So that's cool. Everyone at school will delight in knowing I'm 21 for some reason. Also, I know someone will ask me when I turn 21. Trust me, the people I work with have bad memories.
Apparently, I got my sister sick with a sore throat. (Suck it up, already!) She won't take honey either which is a great way to actually, you know, help it out. My theory on how she got a sore throat basically comes down to having Mom's technique of yak, yak, yak, etc. That will make the readers happy to know.
